Family Guy Volume 1(seasons 1 and 2) on DVD
Life after Death on DVD

Don't worry avid readers of my reviews(all two of you) I have not forgotten you! Now my review for one of the true lost gems of television history. Family Guy was a very controversial show ever since it debuted during superbowl '99. It made many upset so naturally I was drawn to it. I remember these episodes very fondly because I saw most of them when they first aired. So in a way I was Family Guy before Family Guy was cool. Anyway that is beside the point, now to the actual review. In this show the pure bliss of how random this show can be is just great. When this show can take a serious topic such as welfare and make it funny that is when you know a show has struck gold. However many people didn't get this show and it just wasn’t pc enough for people to really get into. For Family Guy though there is life after death in it has found its audience. After being cancelled in 2002 it found a new life on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim line up and on DVD. The DVD set itself is great if not lacking in the special features department though. The featurette was good but some of the commentary was good however this is not for kids to listen too as the warning on each disc clearly states. The true reason to get this is for the show itself. The show is great and the characters are memorable. My favorite being Stewie the evil genius one year old that wants to kill Lois, his mother. The other siblings are drama queen teen Meg and Clueless brother Chris. Peter is the moron dad and makes Homer Simpson look like a genius. The show is a great gem of pop culture and it should have never been cancelled but it is but there is life after death. great show nuff said.

Angel: The Complete First Season on DVD
I’ve Lived 16 years and thought I’d seen everything, than I saw this DVD set

Hey crew, I’ve been away for wwwaaayyy too long. Anyway I’ll try to update more but no promises considering I do have something that resembles a social life. Anyway onto the review itself. Let me say that having been a fan of Buffy for sometime, I didn’t know if I would get the same satisfaction from Angel that I did from Buffy. Let me say that in fact, I did. After finishing the set I found myself longing for more and the next season is out, I just haven’t gotten it yet because I’m poor. This show follows everybody’s favorite vamp with a soul, angel, into the seedy underbelly of LA. Angel feeling that he has no purpose in LA is than confronted by a half demon named Doyle. He than runs into Cordelia at a actors party and they eventually start a P.I. Business. During the coarse of the season we see the death of a character, a introduction of a new character, and one of the best cliffhanger endings I’ve seen in a long time. There were however some bad parts of this season because this season had yet to break out of the Buffy spin-off cliché. Some of the episodes were just retarded and unnecessary such as Expecting, and She. The season opener was well done along with a decent season long big bad of sort. My favorite episodes were the ones that included flashbacks. Anyway the features of this set were quite good, however I was disappointed by the fact that only two episodes had commentary. There were also some scripts for episodes and my favorite the season overview. Overall I enjoyed this set and you will to if you’re into Buffy and maybe even if you’re not. Be reviewing season two soon I hope!

The Simpsons- The Complete Third Season on DVD
At Last it Has Arrived!!!

Ok before I start this I much say that a year wait between seasons is just ridiculous! They pump out Star Trek seasons every other month and us Simpsons fans have to wait a YEAR between seasons, its ludacris. If they had put a season out every six months or so it would be nice. I should in theory be reviewing Season 5 but im still on 3. Anyway I'm gonna start my review now before I pop a blood vessel. The set of season three is decent to say the least but I would have expected more from a set that took the formentioned year to come out. The season of episodes is really good and blows seasons one and two away with room to spare. Some of the stand out episodes are When Flanders Failed, Flaming Moes, The Otto Show, Black Widdower, Barts Friend Falls in Love, and Brother, Can you Spare Two Dimes. The last two I mentioned i have to say is the hardest I've Laughed at a Simpsons episode in a long time. It was also nice to remember the episodes I had seen when I was in Kindergarten(im 16 now and to remember those episodes was nice). However here comes the bad. People complained about the spinning head gag in the second season set and said it was annoying, they fixed this but went the other way and made some menus very, very boring and simplistic. The special features are decent for the most part with the highlight being the commentary( i'm a sucker for good commentary). Overall it's good that it is finally out but I expected more from it because of the wait. See you this time next year probably just getting season four!
